Five Star Transmission

Short review: During my cross-country move I had a major transmission issue. Five Star was the only shop that would make the time to get my truck in and repaired as fast (and properly) as they could. They even stuck by their work with a follow-up I had to do in another state. Long review: I noticed a major leak 60 miles just outside amarillo mid day and limped it in after calling around a bunch of different shops that quoted HUGE lead times. They got right on it and worked tirelessly to inspect and rebuild the whole thing and made sure they didnt cut corners and did it all the way it should be done. a couple short days later they had us back on the road. Even when I got a flashing O/D light halfway to my destination on the west coast, they got in contact with a partner shop and had it taken care of for me. The quality of work and customer service is literally 5-stars. Thank you guys. I know how complex transmissions are so this was about as good of experience anyone could have with such a major issue! Additional note: Not only was it done MUCH faster, but It was also a more competitive rate than 2 other shops I spoke with.

The most professional, respectful group of people I have ever met. Two days after new years, 2025, my new but used 2020 Suburban broke down in Amarillo, TX. Transmission broke and needed it fix quickly. I called a few places to get quotes and to get a timeline. All but one gave me bad quotes and/or unreasonable timelines. But Five Star Transmissions was reasonable and they gave me what I thought was a timeline to fast. But these guys did it. Two days later I was on the road with a rebuilt transmission. Sorry it took so long to write review. I wanted to wait to see how the rebuilt transmission worked. Thank you Skeeter and Team! You guys are awesome!

I can't recommend these guys enough. My transmission failed on my 04 Silverado 1500 towing a trailer across the country. Five Star Transmission were able to rebuild my trans within 24 hours and get me back on my way for a third of what the dealer quoted me. Pulled the trailer another 1k miles non-stop at freeway speeds with 0 issues. Very excellent work and service. I highly recommend.

They did an awesome job getting me a rebuilt transmission for my 30yo jeep. Skeeter kept me in the loop through the whole process and gave me a pretty good warranty on the work while staying in the budget he quoted me. 0 complaints whatsoever.

GREAT SHOP! They have rebuilt several transmissions for us, and every time; fast, good work, great prices. We only use them for our transmission needs. We have sent them several Dodge tyranny's and several Ford ones as well. Even the bigger heavy duty transmissions in the Dodge 4500's are no problem for these guys. Highly recommend.
